Replace utility power generated by gas peakers duing on-peak hours with clean CVP energy.
68.8% of energy supplied for electricity consumption is wasted, meaning higher rates and more emissions.
Common questions asked by building owners, tenants, and new CVP registrants.
A Clean Virtual Power Station (CVP) is a battery system installed at your building to reduce on-peak energy consumption.
4pm - 9pm is the time of day, specifically in California, were intermittent energy resources such as solar can no longer sufficiently meet demand. This currently means gas peakers are used to balance the grid during this time. CVP can replace gas peakers by distributing energy resouce capacity on-demand, to meet demand where it's needed.
A one-time registration fee of $5,000.00 is due at the signing of your service agreement. No equipment lease or purchase necessary.
You recognize 25% of the savings generated by the CVP system.
Ex: Your bill is reduced by
$100,000.00 annually due to CVP operations. MicroNoc will bill you $75,000.00 annually (on a monthly basis)
and you will recognize $25,000.00 as avoided cost.
The standard agreement is 5 years and can be renewed.
A typical CVP system is installed outside and takes up a few parking spaces.
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) recently instated 2 orders allowing for direct connection to wholesale energy markets.
